I am watching!
Ghost in the Shell SAC 2nd Gig
Yet another 20 odd episodes of Tachikoma cyber bodies exploration into the nature of conspiracy and humanity. Surprising twist turning the Stand Alone into a very large prequel for the original!
Smallville series 6
Just three letters J L A!
Battlestar Galactica
Watching Series 2 on DVD and 3 on Sky. Now awaiting the ability to get hold of series 3 on DVD. I love the old 70's show but I am a new BG convert. The story is so much better! Great effects and acting.
Dr Who
Series 3 of Russell T at the helm. I prefer Martha to Rose and it's great to see the return of his oldest Nemesis
Supernatural series 2
surprisingly good horror series. X-files gone freelance kinda with good understory. OMG the second series kicked the first into touch what an end!
Heroes
Humanising Superheroes. Dramatic windy plot and a bunch of surprising characters.
News programmes
Well gotta stay informed!
TNA wrestling
Doesn't treat its audience like complete idiots unlike certain promotions I can mention run by VKM! I am in wrestling parlance a smart mark so find promotions who admit that their wrestlers had a life outside the firm brilliant!
Firefly
Cowboys in space, nuff said! Jayne rocks!
Torchwood
Doctor Who spin off for adults. Russel T Davies unleashed. Fullof sex both straight and not so, expletives and sci fi. Lets see the BBC classify this one as childrens telly like they used to Doctor Who!
Films I have watched and like!
Bourne Ultimatum
Makes Matt Damon look good. A must see for action fans. However the assassins are all out of modelling catalogues which begs reference to Zoolander.
Hero
1 story told many ways and a great ending. Just proves martial arts movies don't have to be muck and muscle. Jean Claude take lessons please. Colour, elegance and subtelty is just so much better than Belgian waffle!
Night Watch
Quirky Russian horror, effective active subtitle use which add to atmoshere. Quite Gaimanesque!
Battle Royale
On the surface bloodily violent and pointless but underneath beats the heart of cunning critiscism of the overbearing police activities and policies of the would be overseers of human behaviour. George Bush watch and have it explained until you get it!
Fistful of Dollars, For a few Dollars more and The Good, the Badand the Ugly
Proving that westerns are more than black hats vs white hats. Based on Japanese stories.
Mad Max 1-3
One artfully desolate, two cynically depressing examination of the instinct to survive and human nature and three oh so hollywood and Tina Turner in chainmail!
Serenity
Cowboys in Space, could Jayne be any cruder and Washes plastic dinosaur fixation? gorram if I haven't learnt to say explosive diarrhea of an elephant in <galactic language here>.
Ghost in a Shell 1 and 2
Shirow Matsamune's examination of the defining line between Mecha and Orga. What makes the human spirit a ghost and how much of it is being puppetted by unseen and insiduous users?
Alien
Artful sci-fi horror that dips its biomechanical toes into bothgenre pools to terrifying effect!
Blade Runner
The epitome of Cyberpunk! Dark dreary over technologically depressing city coupled with the overall question of a sentient beings right to freedom and life!
House of Flying Daggers
A chinese film with a japanese tragedy overtones and great wirework.
The Ladykillers (original)
Absolutely fabulous Ealing Black comedy pity films aren't all made this stylishly for their time!
The Ring (Japanese)
A film that actually gives me chilled creeps. Great use of colour and mood.
